so VW bought nearly 20% of suzuki

im a little curious as to where this will lead.

maybe we'll see this guy again
2006 gx3 5

i'd like to see a vw/suzuki bring out the gsxr4
8495928 e4526eafa1?v1

projections? guesses? speculation?

also, i think that if vw cares any about suzuki's bikes, rather than just their manufacturing capabilities it would be great to see some vw tech trickle into suzuki bikes. dsg equipped busa = vfr1200 fighter anyone?

Volkswagen makes good cars, but they own Audi. I want to see some Audi tech go into the bikes.

Time for the birth of the GSX-R8.
Complete with a single brake that adjusts how much front/rear to apply.
Audi's magnetic ride system that adjusts handling from sport to cruise in a touch of a button.
And it's anti-slip regulation

and since Volkswagen also owns Porsche now, we can get a brake upgrade.

I was told that the 2011 GSXR will come standard with Farfegnugen (sp) and that they will put ricers in there place.

For the most part production motorcycle technology is 5-10 years ahead of production car technology. There will be no technology passed down from vw Porsche Audi or even lamborghini. VW is only concerned with market share of the automotive side and manufacturing capabilities. This was a bad buy by VW. I don't see anything they would have to gain by this purchase. Maybe more details of the sell will be made public this week.

That's funny, i dont hear anyone praising Suzuki's auto technology. Swift, anyone? Lol... I've always wondered about the significant differance between Suzuk├*'s moto and auto manufacturing differences. Anyone care to enlight?

Suzuki has the sx4 which is decent car. I think it still hold the title of being the only car under 25,000 that has AWD. Had one for a quick bit. Wasnt the fastest thing out there by any means but was fun to tool around with for awhile

lol... seriously? you've pretty much got it a$$ backwards. Look at all the technology from CARS trickling down to motorcycles: traction control, variable exhaust, abs, auto-shifting transmissions, cross plane crankshafts, variable timing, etc.. these technologies we're starting to see in motorcycles have been used in cars for decades...
