Yes and no. HD worked with Porsche on the design, yes, but Porsche is not the sole designer.

You say that like HD cant build a motor without someone else's help.

Bear in mind the Twin-Cam motor (air-cooled big twin, 100% HD) is also as close to bullet-proof as anything man made can be.

HD's transmissions are quite possibly the most durable in the business - and for a stock trans, are incredibly strong.

Suspension designs? Yeah, they're outdated and cheap - but they work (kinda).

Brakes? Brembo. Nuff said. No, they arent sport-bike class binders, but they are strong enough.

It takes some engineering skill to be able to produce a design which APPEARS old fashioned while keeping up with changing technology.

Yes, I own one. No, i wont be buying another. However, to rag on them just because HD makes them isnt fair.

Lol at this thread. You make a comment about HD and you get jumped like flies to . I was only kidding like eltejano. I love all machines. HD must have done something right to be in business this long and for other to follow. Might have been from selling parts. just kidding. They are much better than the older models. The price for a new or used one is screaming out poser, hey look at me, I have a HD. The attitudes does show thru these owners. Okay, now you can go back fixing your HD.

Just kidding.
