Where to get powdercoating done?

I'm thinking about getting my frame and wheels powdercoated, and was wondering where you guys would go, and how much I will be looking at for both of those items.
thanks,
matt

I had a frame and swingarm done by Powder Cote of Texas. They are in Tomball. There is also a place in Spring called Precision Power Coating and they do great work, but their turn around times are 3-5 weeks usually.

Powder Cote in Tomball had almost the same pricing and they got my frame & swingarm done inside a week.
Their Yellow Page Ad

Frame & swingarm is $200 and I believe (but not 100%) that wheels are $75 each.

Here's how my frame/swingarm turned out:

I have seen some stuff Patrick has had powder coated. Looked good. Not sure who did it though. In fact it would be cool to see some pics of that R6 they built with the orange rims.

precisionpowder.net if you want to see pics of his work and colors you can get. There are several reputable coaters in your area, and a few decent ones up here in conroe. I had the wheels on my race quad coated for $20 a piece and that held up forever. What color are you thinking of doing?

There is South Coast Customs in Dickinson that has done great work for me on yacht parts and bike parts.

i also used precision powdercoaters on my v-max. They are abit slow but quality is great. depends on the color on times i think. was quoted like 3 weeks and then was called after 1 week.
later

Yes, Precision waits till they have a batch of same colors to do. So that turns into larger lead times usually (unless you happen to want something done in a color that's ready to go).

Powder Cote does small cycle-type stuff in between large industrial jobs and does not wait till they have a bunch of same-colored items.

I would just pick based on your criteria. Cost vs. how long you want to wait... just my twocents
