If your looking for a bigger bike then a Busa or ZX14 might be the way to go. I really liked the ZX12r as well, and you can pick them up really cheap now.

Nope. More leg room, little longer reach to the bars, weighs 50 or so pounds more.

Keep in mind you are doubling the torque and adding 50 hp over the R6... make sure you are ready.

The current "sport bikes" are designed as racebikes, with race ergonomics. You get away from that type and you get a better seat, more upright riding position, more leg room.

Trade offs are more weight, lower quality suspension... but it really depends how hard you are riding the R6 as to what will work for you. A well set up and ridden "standard" will spank a poorly handled sportbike every day on the back roads.

The Real Question here is. HOW MUCH MONAAAYY DO YOU HAVE?
9-12k = new bike at dealership bike
$7000-$8000= real good used bike. ZX14, Busa,( ZX10, CBR1000 06-08)
$5000-$6000= a few older busas, gxr 1000, (07 and down cbr1000 and 900), a few zx10, zx12 any 600

$3000-$4000 and $4k-$5k= (TL1000R don't buy one older than 2001), RC-51,zx9, ZRX1200 dont buy a zx1100), Bandit, u might have to put in a little work and money into for this price but you should be able to find a decent one at this price. Probably looking at bikes that need the carbs cleaned ect... plan on spending an additional $300-$500 on fixing or service mabye parts replace. there are a few decent 06 GSXR600.

Just might 2 cents. You can find some good deals out there especially since its winter but Im just being realistic.

Notice I don't mention any yamahas because I would never ride anything that slow. R1 R6 included. hehehe, j/k but really im not.

You can find some very well set up Bandits for $3500 or so....

Too bad they are cheap on gas and insurance and not "sportbikes"

dont know what to get
