06 R6 is still highest-revving production bike right?

06 R6 is still the highest-revving production bike in the world right ???

(16,200 rpm)

I must say that I was really excited when I heard the R6 would redline at 17,500 rpm....

I would have loved to hear that thing scream at 17,500 rpm....

17.5k = 16k Pretty high but is the HP or Torque their...

Nice bike, for styling I like it. For street track i'll go with a Zx636R though, only thing better would be a '06 ZX10r.

The power is there up top, but it doesn't make anything on the lowend.

i can vouch for the no power on the low end. it takes forever to get out of first gear.

The highest-revving production bikes in the world are the cbr250's and the other high-preformance 250's overseas.I think. There could be higher revving bikes out there that i dont know of.

Hmm, has anyone changed the sprockets on their '06 to gain some low end "street gears"? Since the R6 is meant to be a dominate track bike, perhaps some mods are needed to make it more street friendly?
