I realize this is a little late but...you should NEVER take aspirin after an accident where you heard something "pop."

Aspirin is a blood thinner. He could have minor internal injury that he bleeds out from if he takes aspirin.

No aspirin here,I never take aspirin after injuries for that same reason.

and the crash was right down the street from my house.

Now that the pain killers are wearing off, I can tell that its nothing torn but I am SORE everywhere.

I think that pop I hear could have been my femur popping out and back into socket. When I went down, my knee was bent and still on the bike, it slammed me down hard and I rolled right while my left leg was till propped on the bike and didnt move with the rest of me and something had to give. Wasnt going fast enough to get thrown clear of the bike.

xrays ftw.

Doc didnt catch my broken wrist until a month AFTER my accident. Have them take plenty of xrays, be specific about where you feel pain. No reason to act like a badass and nothing hurts (not speaking specifically of you, just all of us in general.) If it hurts, tell them so you can get it fixed before it gets worse.

I might hop into the hospital tomorrow morning before work. Last time I got hit and run, I went to work for a few hours then went home. Next morning I went to get an xray and I had 2 fractures. One almost all the way through the shinbone about 3 inches above the ankle and one on my foot. Went home and put on my velcro boot cast thing.

Alieve or Tylenol, not aspirins. I take aspirins along on long road trips to help with cramps because it helps thin the blood a little and keep it flowing.

There's only vicodin 500mg and vicodin extra strength which is 750mg that I know of. :O This is about the strongest drugs they prescribe for you outside a hospital I think (wouldn't it be fun to be able to get morphine from Walgreen eh?)

And how did you NOT go straight to the ER after that?? What you doing at home man.. c'mon.

Hope it is nothing serious. having a fractured leg blows. I was laid up 3 months in 2006 from a Jeep accident and still limp in the cold weather.

uhm...there are A LOT more powerful pain killers available by prescription. hydrocodone is actually kinda wussy by comparison.
Oxycontin, anyone?

Yeah, vicodin I can take like tic tacs. I never wanted to even try oxycotin unless I REALLY need it.

True. Ive gotten a handful of hydrocodone 'scripts over the years. Its pretty much the default prescription pain killer now, unless you have an allergy or your stomach just doesnt handle it well.

But there are many, much more powerful -put you on your effin - painkillers out there.

, my hip has been sore all day but not the side that popped. That one has subsided, the side that slammed on the ground is the sore side.

I will be OK. Takes a lot to make me go to a hospital. I hate hospitals.

Real sorry to hear this
Get to the hospital ASAP.
If something is broken and it heals wrong it could be a life time issue.
Xrays will let you know , plus it kind of cool to see your bones in them.
Sure can't make it worse.
Hope you have some insurance.
