Jim, put me down as a maybe as I might be going to do a moto tour in Spain in April. Don't know yet.

Thought about that, but then you have more stuff and weight to deal with while playing on the twisties.

Best Western Stagecoach in Hot Springs, right on AR-7, gets good reviews. Stop there for Day 1.

Here is the basic plan, subject to change, but more or less.

Added hotels....

Right now I am looking at the week of March 14-20. I should be able to make a firm thread in the Events section by mid to late Jan. Once we decide, I am setting up my rooms, and riding rain or shine.

Riding the bikes, leaving from HAK parking lot; Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana roads.

Good times to be had.

Stopping at various overnight spots including Hot Springs and Eureka Springs.. site seeing along the way and trying to remember to actually take the camera outta the bag...

As of now, I have 5, maybe 6 committed (or needing to be committed ) to ride along. At least 2 or 3 others debating on towing, on the fence about the prospect of numb ...

Tentative planned routes... total 1639 miles from and back to HAK, pending changes...

http://tinyurl.com/arkansas-day-1-rev2

Over night in Hot Springs, approx 430 miles thereabouts
Best Western Stagecoach

http://tinyurl.com/day2arkansas

Over night in Eureka Springs, 367 miles
Best Western

http://tinyurl.com/day3arkansas

Over night in Ozark, 232 miles
Days Inn

http://tinyurl.com/arkansas-day-4

Over night in Shreveport, around 290 miles (need to edit the map)
La Quinta, west side

http://tinyurl.com/arkansas-day-5

Around 320 miles back to HAK or thru the Forest.. again needs some editing.

QUESTION:

Do you prefer to leave Sunday am or Monday am????

Right now majority is leaning towards leaving out Sunday, so that will be the tentative plan...

Roll out from HAK at 7:15 am on March 14

So far I see about 105 total miles on Interstates; close to 1700 total miles....

here is day 4 revised...

http://tinyurl.com/arkansas-day-4-rev1

and day 5 revised, back to 290 for us NW peeps. Figure to end, split off when we cross Hwy 59...

enough clothes for the trip plus 2 extra days... never know
roll them up in ziplock bags, press out the air and they'll take up less space, plus you have a place for the dirty ones...

If you have vented riding pants they serve you well so you don't have to carry 5 pairs of jeans... or have the one pair of jeans standing in the corner by themselves halfway into the trip...

deoderant (please, everyone will thank you) soap and shampoo is usually in the room, but small bottle of bodywash is good idea

What am I forgetting?
Can U-Haul install a hitch on my bike for the trailer I would need to pull all that stuff?
