Just passed my basic rider class today!

Thanks Awesome Cycles.

Very new. Need a lot of practice. Here for info, tips, etc. I'll probably just browse and ask questions for a while until I have some confidence in my riding skills. Thanks.

LOL @ Challen. Thanks all for the welcome. Still trying to decide what to get for my first bike. Definitely buying used. Debating if I should just get a 250 for more practice or get a Yamaha FZ6. I definitely need a lot more practice and expect to drop the bike a few more times before I get comfortable, so I don't plan on buying my dream bike yet, just something to get proficient on.

No pics.

Welcome to the board. Congrats on taking your MSF course. Winter is a great time to buy a bike. 250's are good to learn on, but most riders feel they outgrow them pretty quickly and move on to 600's.

Weigh your options, if you feel you're gonna drop the bike several times, def don't go for a dream bike at first (but you already know this).

Get a cheapy, ride it around on the nicer winter days. Then come spring you can get something a bit closer to what you really want. Perfect riding time and game plan if you have the patience!

Enjoy....

^ Heck I had 6 months or more riding experience over a period of a couple years before ever getting my own bike and taking the MSF to get my license...

To the OP: Welcome get your gear and get out there riding...
