Driving in wet condition

Any tips and tricks? Since today will be my first wet-weather riding to pp1 then to the bbq.

My tires are new so that should give me some confidence. They are also the OEM ones that have lots of those water cracks unlike the sport/sticky ones.

Leave plenty of room to stop and change lanes. Keeping further back will lead to less direct spray from the traffic infront of you.

Find some cars that pass you/know you're there and stagger w them in the next lane over. That's better then constantly being an unseen target.

You'll be fine, just don't ride as fast as you would on dry ground especially on turns.. And be a little more cautious.

Stay at home, best advice avoid the rain if you can why go out in the rain, if you are already out that it is bad luck and deal with it but leave your house in a cold and rainy day not a good idea

I always try to do this even on perfect weather. For some odd reason, I seem to do this even in the cage.

Don't dooooooooet! Take the cage and get there safe and worry free. No one at the BBQ will laugh at you for not riding the cycle up there in rainy weather. (well, almost no one. . . I think. . . don't quote me on that )

When I saw you post before entering the thread I was going to ask you if you were coming

It's not pouring rain and I want to get experience. I can bring the cage and it will definitely fit with the imports but for some reason I feel like riding 2 wheels today.

Thanks for the inputs guys.

No, I won't make it to the BBQ today. House cleaning/Good Will foraging. Get there safe and have fun!

Dude ride in the rain it is a great experience because there will be a day where you wont have a choice. Just be smooth with the throttle and brakes and be aware of your sorroundings. Also, if it is just sprinkling wait for the road to get good and wet so that the oil wont be sitting right on top of the road.

FACT- Riding in the rain makes you a better rider.

Just be smooth and plan ahead where/when you want to start turning/exiting/changing lanes. Don't chop or pin your throttle.

Stay away from wheelies too

Was a great experience! I need to rainX the front of the visor so the beads would slide off. Also, can I do something about the fogging inside the visor?

Its weird how one has to look sideways for the beads to slide and when looking straight it does not...

As far as the fogging goes an anit-fog sheild would help, sometimes i just have to crack my shield open just a little so that more air can enter.

Great for gainin experience in ridin in da rain i first did it a couple a times to get the hang of it and now i pretty much ride no matter wat the weather is due to the fact this is my only mode of transportation but everyone has their limits just know them and ride twice as careful as u would on a normal day..
