Interested in an exhaust swap (My full Acra for your....) ?????

Alright guys,
Not sure i really wanna get rid of it but i thought i would guage some interest. I have a Full Akrapovic Race system on my bike. Its a lightweight system and i could tell a complete difference in the bike after the install and the power commander! Im just holding up truth to my screenname and thought i would look for something else to try. Its on a 06 ZX6R 636. My system has the SS header and midpipe and Ti Canister with CF end cap. Its a very nice system and its moderately noisy under 7,000 RPMs so its bearable to ride it on the freeway cause it wont give you a headache but anything over 7500RPM or so, it sounds like a F1 Race car! This system screams on the high end and it sound sick as !! Im just looking for something different cause im an idiot. lol System is in mint shape.

Im mostly interested in swapping for a full M4 Ti system as they are worth about the same new. Im open to anything though. It has to be a full system though! I will not swap my full system for a slip on... sorry fellas. lol

Let me know what you got! Thanks, Taylor

The only thing about D&D is that it sounds like there is absolutely nothing in the canister. Just sounds straight through and its so high pitched and tin can sounding that it doesnt have much tone to it at all.

Now, i have yet to hear the D&D on a ZX6R because i have only ever heard them on the CBR's but i would imagine its about the same. Ill have to check into it and see how they sound on the ZX6R!

Only other thing that would suck is that D&D is only a slip-on. Id have to put my stock stuff back on and just run the slip-on which would take away performance. Id rather replaced my full system with at least another full system since im going to have it off anyways. Seems like a waste to put the stock stuff back on.

There is a thread somehwere around here with a whole buncha exhausts sounds tested on an R6. But it should give you an idea of the differences in the sounds.. Most were too similar to be worth a change. I liked the D&D and HMF the most.. and maybe the Harris.

Search for it.. i'm too lazy.

I saw that awhile back. I wasnt sure how close they would sound to the ZX6R but if its gonna be close in sound like you say, ill look it up again.

Honestly, the Acra is the BOMB for build quality, fit and exhaust tone IMO. It sounds so mean but its just too quiet when just cruising around. I like something that will make some continuous noise. Thats why i liked the M4. It was LOUD with a pretty nice sounding tone to it.

Ill have to check out the D&D if yall really say it sounds that good. They must have changed it for our bikes. Maybe it has something to do with the undertail having a different tone than their side mounts. I dunno.

Hmmm... last i checked, that was one of the complaints of the D&D was that they werent making a full system. I guess they changed that as well. Im going to have to look into them a little more. Maybe it will be a good option for me.

That clip was hard to tell how it really sounds cause of the tire squealing and the bike being rev'd so high. It just sounded loud and pretty good from what i could hear. lol

Thanks for the clip though man.

, that was pretty deep. Sounds good on your bike. I wonder if it has something to do with the fact that its on a busa and its got 2 canisters instead of just 1. I does sound bad on your bike though!
