ya when your racing motocross, IMO, the first mod you should do to your bike is get the suspension set up for you. It makes a HUGE difference in your riding and fatigue and control. Supermoto is a whole different ball field so you would want to get your suspension set up for that kind of riding. I don't have much experience in motard racing but suspension setup makes a world of difference with what kind of riding you do.

Dannys pretty fast on the trails already, and I dont think riding a 2t is any disadvantage in the woods at all. Talk to Tim (Firemalt) about STORM, he raced it last year untill he jacked his sholder up. You're gonna have to bite the bullet and get some barkbusters though.

You COULD ride flat track with suspension set up for MX.. BUT you will be at a big dissadvantage trying to do that. But like i was saying, you want your suspension set up for what your (mainly) doing. Otherwise everyone else might have the advantage over you.

I mean it would be hard to race MX with a suspension set up for flat track right?

Like in any sport you participate, the better you are, the more expenses you will get into. Money buy championships. Good luck, when you grid up, remember you are there to have fun, losing.

Just kidding, have fun.

Danny,

Don't stress over it. You will have a blast! You should start out in the Open D class with us. After the first race or two you can always move up to C if you want.

You going to be making the first race? Let me know as Ryan will be out of town and Brant's bike is broke, so I will probably be riding out there by myself and I already have a hotel room booked. It is only a couple weeks off!

Chris

Im tempted to get back into the dirt also, but I know I will kill my self. I dont have the discipline to take it east. I am unable to ride a MC with out going out and WOT.

I could use a new chest protector, a neck brace ring, and some new pants/jerseys....XL shirts, 36" waist.
Santa brought me some O'Neal boots for Christmas, so I'm set there.

Gonna start out in Open D....if I'm sandbaggin' or need to be bumped, I'm sure they'll move me I guess.
