Guess I am a . I am flattered but I am no expert racer. Email sent. I need one more year as a novice.

The rest of yall can run as back markers and call yourself experts if you want. I need to try and win some tire money.

Congrats though to all that made the cut. Great jobs!

I see a name that is missing....Jeremy Louder. If he goes and gets a 600, you just handed than man 7 championships.

werd. Dude was running 1:48's in his first novice race, at TWS (Texas World Speedway). I spoke with his GF a few weeks ago at Cresson. She said he was wanting to go expert. David Roy said the same thing. That's his boy.

I think he will probably get bumped mid-season next year. You have to run at least 5 races as a novice to get bumped. He only ran 2, and his transponder fell off in one of them.

I agree with you, it would be better to request the bump up, but he has to do that. The CMRA has rules to follow, now if the rider requests it, that is a different story.

I sort of agree, John. He would be the guy on the fence to me, but I'm okay with giving that shove over.

My thoughts on Louder:

The BoD did the right thing. Louder is a novice. Provided the information his teammate gave me at TWS (Texas World Speedway) is accurate, he has a motocross background and has only done a couple track days. He had no roadrace experience until that TWS (Texas World Speedway) round, and had to be talked into going to race that weekend. He's a fast novice, and if he choses to race in 2010, you should up your game. Deal with it.

When I was on the BoD was I was firmly against mid-season bumps. I look at that as a penalty to someone who just happens to have talent and be fast. I don't see any benefit to promoting a racer mid-season. After Colin Edwards in 1991, the practice of mid-season and discretionary promotions became more common, but I think it's a dumb thing unless you find that the racer held some kind of expert-level road race license somewhere else (which has happened in the past).

Me either! We're both going to have to step it up! Those boys don't play in the expert ranks...
