Along with the fact that he said it was it his uncle, I guess the family tree is solid in it's genetics.

Back on topic.

When i was selling my XR400R motard, a had a guy stop by on very nice ZRX. He said the XR was a bike he wanted for his son. I thought the XR400R would be perfect as it was stock motored and well set up. He took it for a ride, came back and said he just felt it would be too much for his son. That's a good father that took the time to check the bike out, ride it, and made a good decision he was comfortable with. I honestly would have thought it was a perfect bike for a beginner, but his point was based on the overall bike.

Buying a young kid a fast car is much different that a fast bike. A car can still kill you, but there is much higher chance a dumb move will just screw the car up and not the 16 year old. A bike? Even a 250 at speed can cause a lot of damage to a person.

The guy is an idiot if he truly bought the bike mentioned by the original poster for his 16 year old son. Here's hoping he got it home, tried it out, and had an epiphany.

(For the guy that doesn't know the difference between a squid and octopus - epiphany - a sudden, intuitive perception of or insight into the reality or essential meaning of something, usually initiated by some simple, homely, or commonplace occurrence or experience.)

I was thinking back when I last had a sport bike [ 80"S & 90's ] , I only wore a jacket when it was cold , helmet only on highway runs, don't recall wearing boots back then.
Today , no way do I ride without full gear, I was really taking chances back then.
I thankful , I didn't go down.

Really, picking on a guy making a girl smile, cause he rolled off the clutch and putted around a parking lot with out gear? If thats the Corey who I think it is, he is a pretty good rider, and iv never seen him on the street with out gear.

...

In all honesty who they **** cares? The only people who should care is his family, if they choose not to....

Alot more to life to worry about than how somone eles wants to live or kill themselfs.
