So i am not sure if anyone know this information on this but....Does anyone know the rules and regulations to sending you bike to the UK if your goinng be living there for an extended period of time? I know most people would probably say sell it and just get a new one there but i am just wondering...? Thanks

Are you going as military or civilian contractor or what...?

There are a few exemptions but they are VERY strict. I hope you have a factory exhaust if you want it to pass inspection for street riding. If it's a track only bike, you still need some form of bung or silencer. Most tracks have a max db for racing and they will kick you out if you are to loud.

I've got a friend currently stationed in England if you need specifics...

Thanks for the info guys...

Its civilian i am no longer military. I have a yoshi RS5 slipon but to me and compaired it quiet. I do still have the stock can though so i guess thats ok. I might be moving to england for school and job and didn't want to sell the bike. If it comes to it i can use it as a race only bike there and just get a EU edition one.

Time will tell thanks again for the heads up.

slip-on won't be an issue at most tracks,
you'll need an EU headlight to pass testing for registration for street use
you'll need the standard exhaust silencer for MOT purposes too.
if you've owned bike for more than 6 months prior to shipping duty shouldn't be an issue.

Maybe it would be useful to contact a company that ships cars and bikes to your destination and see if they can give you info. At least they should be able to steer you in the right direction.
