FWIW, I got a magnetic tankbag at wal-mart and it works pretty well.

As for the "install," the wally world bag has magnets that hold a metal tank really well.
It also has a strap to go around the front of the tank, but I have never taken the time to put it on. The reason is that it has a plastic buckle and its a PITA to snake under the front on the tank, and then take off when you reach your destination.

I use just the magnets and it holds fine.

Tank bags are universal.
Because your GSXR has a tank cover that's plastic your choices are kind of limited.
You can go with a magnetic mini tank bag and it'll work no problems. Anything larger though and you'll need to get a strap style.
I keep several of both in stock, plus depending on what you want, I can get you anything else in a day or so.

When I had my 06 750 Motorcycles Unlimited hooked it up with a Cortech bag that did what it needed to do just fine at a great price.

most i've seen are generic and use either magnets, clips or a combination of both. go to any bike store and you should find a selection of various types and sizes.
