Welcome to MotoHouston. Lots to see and do.

Big bikes look nice but are hard to learn on, def more dangerous, and ALOT more expensive to fix. Start on a smaller one, learn the ropes, sell it off and work your way up. It's cool to have someone here that's not the typical biker guy or snotty chick. Take the MSF course, that will get you on 2 wheels the fastest and you can see if it was what you expected.

Don't be a stranger... join the rides, make the meets, visit the sponsors, wear your gear, don't become a douche and always contribute when you can!

Enjoy!

Thank you for the advice! :]
I would definitely go to meets when I get a bike. You all seem like cool people and I would really like to meet you guys!

Kimmiichu,

Have you even driven a manual car? If you haven't you should really start there before purchasing a motorcycle. That way you can understand a manual transmission first.

She's only 17 guys, give her a break..

let's see, since u have never ride u find the hayabusa an interesting bike, but don't be ashame, to the untrained eyes... Hayabusa are cool. After u ride a bit and progresses, you steer away from them no offense to busA owners btw

1. Take msf
2. Get your gear
3. Get your bike
4. Turn 18
5. PM me

Welcome!

I would opt for a Ninja 250r (great starter bike) as your first bike, but I am biased.
Like others have said before: take your MSF (Awesome Cycles FTW), get your gear (helmet, jacket, gloves, boots, AND knee guards), get your M class and then get your two wheels.

Most importantly, have fun!

I will be sure to work my way through the list. I'm not so sure about number 5 though. :P

Thanks! I was wondering if I should get the gears first or the bike first but you guys answered my question before I could even ask :]
