Is your bike for sale on CL???

If your bike is in neutral and idling that high, yo ucan adjust your idle. But as to why to jumps to 4,000rpm if you engage the clutch in neutral, i don't know what to say about that.

Does sound like a vacuum leak. My F4i revs high when I first start it and even higher when its cold. Once it warms up it goes back to normal.

It doesnt work like that. The cooling system is a stand alone system. a coolant leak wouldnt normally have anything to do with a vac leak. i normally pivot the tank up and look for anything obviously loose or not connected well. start bike and spray some brake cleaner or can seafoam on the connections. If the idle changes when you spray a certain spot thats probably where your problem is. normally a code is tripped with a vacuum leak of that size because the motor is running lean with the added air.

def dont use the brake clean though on rubber lines. ya it works right off the bat but will mess up the lines later on like corrode etc... have seen on cars many times.
