New toy

02 ZX-12R

Have a lot to do to make it "mine" but it's a nice start..

521ae351
61747e1d
38054bfa

So far I've removed the lowering links, added Helibars and gel grips I had laying around, ZX14 mirrors, titanium exhaust hanger, and spent the afternoon playing with the Power Programmer (running MUCH better now )

Future planned mods are Ohlins shock, Racetech forks, Corbin seat, cruise control, radar detector, and braided front lines.

its a fat cow but a sexy one at that...make sure you get that suspension dialed in so it handles better.

So how did you enjoy it on our half Fayetteville ride?

Did it handle like you hoped?

Fat? Not hardly. With aftermarket exhaust it is around 450 dry. Not much more than a SS 1000.

And it's blue not black!!!!!

Have the rear about 90% dialed in, front is gonna need some aftermarket guts to suit me.

Haven't rode on Dunlops in 20 years or so, and they worked just fine.

Overall it is just fine; doesn't steer quite as quick as the Bandit but it also has a stabilizer on it. With the gas weight under the seat it is actually quite flickable. I have a little more ground clearance to work with so it should be better on that end as well.

Yes sir! Was gonna bring it up for a map but got my laptop figured out for a serial cable and been playing. Still has a mild dip around 2500 rpm but nothing like when I started.

Tims bike will rip it a new tho; the map on it is supposed to be good for around 185 RWHP and this one just doesn't feel as strong. Time to get them both dyno tuned.

Rode all day until the others went dirt sampling and was ready for another 2-300 miles.. comfy!

Considering a GSXR1000 fully loaded with stock exhaust is about 430 i say its heavy...yes yes i know its 200 more cc's i am just saying they are heavy imo...

They are sexy and i would love to own one though.
