Talking New member from the West Area

I'll b FINALLY buying a bike this week after a month of searching. I wanted to say hi to the community and check if there is any groups around the west area that meet to ride. Also any recommendations on shops to buy gear (jacket and helmet)? Or if you know of any good used gear around please let me know!

Welcome to MH!

I usually buy my gear offline... mostly off of Newenough.

Patrick at Motorcycles Unlimited sometimes has good deals on gear. Cycle Gear is decent too sometimes.

Also, get more than just a jacket and a helmet. Gloves, pants, boots... GLOVES....

It shames me to see people riding around without gloves. Especially in low speed crashes, your hands will be the first down.

If you were planning on getting gloves and just left that out, SORRY.

Just see a lot of newer riders think gloves are unnecessary... especially at low speeds, when it is just the opposite.

Hey bro, welcome. I'm on the west side too. Taking a break from riding for a while right now though. Should be back hopefully by Xmas.

As far as buying gear, most on here will tell you to visit our sponsors. Thanks to them we get this massive website with other good riders, info, meets, rides etc.

Are you a new rider? If so, make safety a priority. No matter where you get your gear from, make sure it's ample protection.
For used gear, check this site's Classifieds also. There's a "Gear" section.

Welcome and enjoy.

Hi! West side here as well.

As others have said, get the best gear you can. Drivers around our area are very aggressive and self centered.

Come out to the Bear Creek BBQ this Sunday!
