my bf wants to get me an Ipod nano. How many songs can a 2gig Ipod hold? Isn't it something like 3 or 4 cd's worth? If so, that isn't worth it

Holds quite a bit more than 3 or 4 cd's worth. I have a 20g with almost 3000 songs on it and it's not quite fool. I also have some audio books on it which take up a helluva lot more space.

They claim up to 500 songs on the 2gb, but it all depends on the bitrate and song length.

You do not have to use iTunes.

they have other programs to upload music into your ipod. and you can make it so it doesn;t delete your music when you sync it with someone elses computer.

i like my 30 gig, got about 5500 songs on it with plenty of space left on it still.

dont get a 2 gig nana get the 4 gig sense its only 50 bucks more and holds double the space, if you buy from the apple store you get a 15% discount also, or maybe 10 ( if your a student)

Mp3

I am liking my new MP3 player as well, had a friend who always had one so I bought one for myself... Sandisk Sansa MP3/FM tuner/USB jump drive/voice recorder with built in Mic... 1GB. $89 from Fry's, has a mini USB cable, armband, and ear plugs. Best thing is that it's small and uses a AAA battery, lasts 16hrs...

Holds 13 CD's; 168 songs worth and still has 148mb worth of space left... Freaking thing is awesome, just need to get some Shure Ear plugs now for bike riding pleasantness...
