unless you weigh 300 pounds, or have been riding for ten years, you have no business near a liter bike.

just an opinion.

I was close to 300 and still ride a 600

Both your brothers have 600's, why wouldn't you buy a 1000?

Falling down
Skinning knees
Tearing up roadside trees with your torso
Making a gap in barbed wire fences

Remember you can put your eye out with those things.
ahh, the joys of having torque.

other than crazy freeway rides there isnt a reason the 600 wont stay with or in front of a 1000 on the back roads. Course you the rider might not be able to but you bike will just fine.

Drop a tooth on a 600 and go home happy.

I was on a 1000 at MSR came outta "Diamonds Edge" hard on the juice, head buried under the paint and about half way down the straight Buck Beasley came past me (on a 600) like I was out for a Sunday ride.
The point is it's about the rider (I am old and I suck) not the bike.

I did trackdays on my wee-ninja and had a blast! I'd even say that though I've moved up to an SV650, I still had more pure "fun" on the 250.

That's my 250 in my avatar ... if I had it my way I'd still have my 250 right next to my SVs
