buell, gone out of business...harley will only have parts for so long.

all your choices are wrong.

best choices are used ninja 250, possibly used ninja 500 or gs500, if she is hardcore...but she is with you so she probably isnt. also...

life insurance ftw

I'm not one to talk though, many of us have done it, my first bike was an R6. And before reality hit me I acted like a idiot on it. I was not ready for a ss. I think I am pretty lucky that I didn't up a splattered statistic on the freeway somewhere. But knowing what I know now, if it was my wife, which it was, I'd start her on a 250 or a 500, which I did. Granted most woman are not has inclined to act like jackasses with fast vehicles as us men are, those same ones that are timid about using the power, are usually the ones that have a difficult time controlling that power.

Put her on a an SV650 or SV650S. Great bike for the money and lots of upgrades for later. My wife started on a 2002 SV650S and she loves it. Small enough for her to handle and lots of torque. Get a used one cheap. You won't be sorry.

I found a perfect candidate: http://www.motohouston.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=113191

If anything, I'd vote for the Kawi because 'tis blue.

Looks like you have two Harleys.
I would guess there is some reason you do not want to share.

Just go with what she thinks is pretty and temper that with performance suited to her experiance and your wallet

Ninja 250 - Not enough power

Ninja 500 - Enough power, everything else

Ninja 650 - Enough power, decent everything else.

Everyone calls the 650r a chick bike anyways right? lol. Anything under a liter anyways.

But you said she wanted more of a street-fighter-ish bike, so maybe one of the svs? There is an sv for sale here that is a street fighter. Go grab that?
