AJ... GL getting it done; I dont know Paul's schedule but there will be other rides. I'd recommend fixing the other stuff first too; there are cops in that area and they get swamped w calls from residence the moment we start riding through there.
I am trying to make the bike deal with a few people and see who really wants it. Buy the fork seal and all the little that goes along with it to fix it, put the chain on and give me 250.00 bucks and BAM lol the bike is yours.
Blah! This whole car breaking down thing really put a set back on me. Hopefully when I work on Thanksgiving someone will leave me 500.00 tip! lol. yeah right.

Not sure who this is aimed at or what "there" is... but I will assume me, and assume "there" is 3090.

I love the stretch of 149 between the texaco and 1790, so I don't wanna take that away. Other than that, 149 gets fairly boring after 1790 IMO.

Even wit that, I could really care less. I am just looking to go ride and have fun. Just whatever we decide to do.. if it is any different than taking 149 to 3090, if you could give me a link to google maps wit the directions, would be helpful.

I imagine there will be at least 2 groups, unless you are all looking to tone down your usual speeds. Like I said, I got a few pretty new riders, and some completely new to 3090 that I want to encourage to get out and ride more.
lol nothing illegal. I bought the bike a month ago and still haven't gotten it registered and I finally got the money for it and was going to go get it registered today!. . . BUT my car broke down and I need to pay for a new fuel pump :( so there goes the money that I was going to use to get it registered.

Uh oh! Hope you can get that taken care of ASAP! When you go to register it, ask them to value it according to what the state values it... there is a specific term but I forget. In Texas, your sales tax is either for the sale price's tax, or for the state's value tax... normally whichever is higher. I specifically asked for state value. Turns out state value for an 06 Ninja 650r wit 500 miles was like 2200 bucks.

Also, don't wait too long, or you'll have to pay the late fees... unless you haven't written in the date of sale yet.

If you have really already waited a full month, you are in for some fines when you go to register it (once again unless you have not written date of sale on the old title)

the overfee is 35 dollars per month after one month remission.

I know

As for the comment earlier; yes I meant rides to and from(our rides started further south on backroads.) We plan on a nice casual ride w the newer riders. No Forest Gnome antics and Im not there to lead the ride(sorry Dustin about your last ForestRide; guess its natural for peeps to follow the Tour Guide )

Well if you got some alternate routes, that still allow that stretch of 149, let me know, otherwise we'll be taking 149 til it turns into 3090, taking it til the end, turnin around, riding the other half of 3090, doin that twice, and then goin home.

Once we get closer to Sunday, I might change the route to let us start on either the north or south end of 3090, and not turn around. The spots I use to turn around are good for maybe 10 bikers...more than that and we'll have some issues lol. Wit a bunch of people, its just too hard to be making 180s.

ForestGnomegeneralride

This is the very general Forest Gnome ride. There are a couple parallel roads for every road going north and between 149/1774/2819 naturally but we dont share those w everyone, much like the West route to the Forest. This route has been traveled by a good portion of MH through the 70 some public FG group rides in the last couple years(and several private rides ) so we share it since everyone has been on it.

Longer, smoother sweepers.

Also brings you into town by 1774 near the gas station, so 40 plus bikes arent passing the corner store where the cops like to hang out.

Sorry to thread jack again....

When you get to 90/1774, at the gas station, the time between 90-447-3090/149 is the same as 90-149-3090 first part and return.... however if a large group stops at the gas station, I think its better to on the highway and go to 447 to wake up and get your mind in the proper set.
