monday forest ride

i'm going to hit 149/3090 tomorrow and get some lunch at yankees (is it open weekdays? hm.) and have a decent time of it.
at this time, it's a solo trip, but i would like some company for the ride, as i have only been out there a couple of times and might get lost. i do that well.
i'm wanting to leave maybe around 11 or so

i'll be starting from the woodlands, get on 1488, go down honea egypt, and then through montgomery to the playground.

spirited pace, but i'm not trying to set any landspeed records. enjoy the scenery, but dont get passed by farm trucks.

Well, I was just there yesterday and I would really like to workout today, but I might join you.

You are skipping the BEST part of 149 wit the route you have picked out though, instead of riding 1790, stay on 149.

If you REALLY wanna ride 1486, once you get to 1790 on 149, the road gets boring anyways, so ride south again. I've never ridden 1486 tho, so I have no idea.

ugh. my thighs are sore. i rode all over the place out around anderson. i put in near 300 miles so far. i wound up getting lost and going with that. i began the true adventure by going to shiro, about 20 miles from huntsville, and went everywhere between shiro and navasota. after i got tired of going fast and sore thighs from holding my long legs to the tank, against the wind, i got on 6 and went to 105 and onto my parent's house in montgomery for a break.

sorry you couldnt make it snow. i saw your dad on the side of the road on 3090, standing outside of the porsche. i hope he was alright. car looked fine and he didnt appear to be hurt. it didnt occur to me until later that he was prob your dad.
anyways, i never did find yankees. i dont know how i missed it. i have only been there a couple of times, but both times it was easy to find. i guess i wasnt ready to stop the ride and eat.
now i'm about to go to panchos down in the woodlands and drink some really awesome cheese enchiladas.
