Got a new toy!!! ('01 Ninja ZX-6R)

Got me a new toy (temporary):

The bike is going on sale. Previous owners don't even know how much to ask for the bike, The guy that was using/riding the bike got deported back to El Salvador and his Aunt got to keep all the belongings of the guy, she's a close friend and acquaintance of my wife and they know I'm into motorcycles, so they give me the bike to do an "evaluation" and see how much they can ask ($$$) for the bike, after I try to fix what's wrong with the bike. They told me that I can keep it if I'm interested in buying the bike for myself. Still debating what to do, the Lady even offer me to pay her in installments if I decide to keep it.
I'm not really into sportbikes due to the ergonomics but will be a perfect learner for stunting tricks.

The bike has been sitting in the garage for a couple of years. They only know that the bike does not start and is leaking oil. Well I bring the bike home and found that is not starting because is missing the battery, after installing an old battery of my Triumph Speed Triple that is too big and does not allow the seat to lock properly I was able to start the bike after draining the old gas and replenish with new fresh gas. The oil leak is from the left case but I'll post a new thread in the "How to" section. The chain is also in very bad shape. So far I drained the oil and it was very black, the bike has only 9000 miles and came already with a Carbon Fiber Muzzy exhaust.

very nice, you might want to think about getting a new chain to go with that oil change!

I had an 01 zx6r and it was a nice bike. they are pretty quick and handle nicely. After I flipped it, it turned into a great stunt bike, but the frame cracked eventually and I got rid of it. Good find!
