The only arguement I've heard that has any validity is that Gracie is older. GIVE ME A REASON THAT YOU THINK THAT besides that you wish matt would be your buddy.

How about this, since you are disagreeing with everyone about Hughes beating due to submission or whatever. Why don't you explain why you feel Gracie will win? I am not trying to flip this around or anything but with all the talking you are doing I think you have a little more explaining to do then I do.

I love how you put this "I'm not tring to be an " but then you finish your I guess paragraph with a third grade put down. Grow up man. All I did was make a vote and voice my opinion and you got hurt.

You know what, I am done with this stupid . If I wanted to argue I would go outside and with a 8 year old about baseball cards. If you feel as if you won this conversation, thens so be it. But I am not going to waste my time on such petty as you getting emo because people don't agree with you.

My money is on Hughes...He's younger, quicker, stronger, and probably more well rounded. If I were Hughes, I'd try to force him into a standup fight and stay off the ground as much as I could. Gracie is outstanding on the ground, but I am totally unimpressed with his standup. Unless he's been working on his standup, I'd put money on Hughes.
I'm not saying that Gracie has been just chilling out at his house, I know he's been busy, I've just got that gut feeling about Hughes winning it. Don't know how or what round, I just see his hand being raised. The same feeling I had at the last PPV with Silvia and Arlovsky.
Either way it's gonna be a GREAT PPV!!!

He's not the worst fighter ever, if he was the worst, he would not have won the heavyweight belt 2 times would he have?

We're not talking K1 or Pride, we're talking UFC. And in UFC, Siliva IS the 2 -time Heavyweight champ.

Let's stop the Siliva talk anyways, this thread is about Hughes v. Gracie

no he doesnt have the best mma skills but the man is a beast. Frank Mir broke sylvias arm in an arm bar a few years back and he didnt tap out. the ref stopped the fight but sylvia still wanted to continue to fight

the gracies use to have the gracie challenge where anyone could come into there gym and fight basically with no rules (no weapons of course). if anyone was able to beat a gracie they were to be paid 100,000$. no one ever beat them
