Going out in about 30-45 minutes. I live in Huntsville, so I will be at the Texaco on 149 in about an hour or so. Anyone is invited, late notice.

Yeah that was me! Where'd you go? You fell back after 1790 and then just disappeared. I was hoping to have a buddy on 3090.

Snow, thought I had enough fuel until my light came on. Haven't been through the forrest before and wasn't sure were the next station was. Stop to check on Nav before I ran out. Learned a lesson, fuel up before going in.
Let me know if you go this coming weekend, I promise I'll fuel up before.

You musta road right by the texaco I usually fuel up at.

My 650r goes like... 120 miles of fast riding before the light comes on. I basically fuel every station lmao.

You see that stupid pile of trash that tried to take me out?

I saw it and was like "oh just go over to other lane real quick... NOPE fkin car there... other way"

I will prob go again on Sunday next week. I got plans wit multiple families on different days for thx giving, so prob wont go out riding besides around town again til then.

I stopped before I figured out that it was that close.

Yeah, I did. Quick moves! I've heard of deer jumping out, but not a box of trash.

No worries, we have plans for Turkey Day, but I am open to ride anytime after.

So is this Forest thing supposed to be like Houston's equivalent of The Three Sisters?

Houston area doesn't have an equivalent to the 3 sisters. Going through the actual forest doesn't take too long, but the road is nice, lots of elevation changes, a lot of the turns are fast and not so much technical like the 3 sisters can be. The roads that you hit before or after the forest is what makes or breaks the ride

The Three Sisters as in the road in Mexico? If so, no.

The "forest" is the country highways that go through the Sam Houston Nation Forest.

Typically, my forest run consists of fm 149 to fm 3090.

For shorter runs, I go from where highway 1790 meets 149, go east and then south a bit to just before town, and turn around. I ride that stretch (best part of 149 IMO) twice back and forth.
