Well done. If it doesn't sound like a bag of spanners at idle, there is something wrong with it.

I have 20k on a 96 Speed Triple. It runs better today than it did when new. In regard to the motor, I have changed the oil every year or 2500 miles and adjusted the valves twice.

Sign up on triumphrat.net. There is a section called Daytona Deliberations. There is so much knowledge on there, it is mad. I am certain a few people on the forum will know that bike. They will be able to tell you what to watch out for, etc.

Go get it, and give it a good thrashing. It looks like it needs it.

2nd that-I bought his mates S3 and it has over 20K on the clock and the engine is smooth. I hammered the out of it a month ago after I had the front forks reworked with racetech and still waiting on penske for the rear. Upgraded the front brakes (thanks Martin) and have SS lines all the way around. It has turned around to be my favourite from the 5 that I have. Excellent choice on the purchase!!!

as far as that bike goes make sure the battery stays charged, as the early
t595s are prone to snapping the sprag clutch. i have a 2002 955 with about 35k on the clock. and the only issues ive had, is what patrick said. Mapping!!
and my voltage regulator took a dump. We also have a red 98 here, sounds like a bag of bolts, but like wiayeman said thats normal.

good luck feel free to pm with ?'s

Much harder to do on an unfaired bike due to wind resistance-such as cafe racers and the like.
