Fabricating Skills?

I need some help designing and fabricating a race roller starter for my yamaha race bike.

I starter to design a setup myself but came across this website that use to build them. I called them and they stop production on them becuase of the weight. The guy I spoke to might have some frames for sale but would have to check in to it. I believe this would make for a great project, one top of all the other I have to do. Let me know what you guys think.

Does it have to be so fancy? The motogp guys look like they took an ordinary lawn edger and attached a small wheel to the crankshaft. :dontknow:

I thought about making one.. just because.. lol

I can't imagine its difficult. I have a couple of idea for user interfaces and of course if you were building a one off for a customer you would have to ask them what they would prefer.

Either way it sounds like a fun project, include me if you would. I am an engineer, and I do have a little bit of fabbing skills. PM when ya'll do it.

Hey Brad - Check the shops for an old edger then find a way to bolt an 8" trailer wheel to it.

You could even get an old DC motor and use a car battery with it and the trailer wheel.
