Wow it looks like im the only one that said other riders in the group doing something dumb. I usually ride by myself or one other person. The few times Ive ended up riding with strangers it was always nerve racking! Nobody seemed to grasp the concept of staggering and holding their position in the formation. Always zooming past me then slowing down then zoming past then slowing down. Drove me insane!

While that is undoubtedly a legitimate concern, statistically it is the cagers we need to be the MOST concerned about, since they simply do not see us.

'Left turns' and being rear-ended would be the top two...

None of the above. The first choice would be most accurate. However, I am much more concerned that I will loose focus/attention and not notice that cager and position myself to avoid him to start with. The minute I assume a cager is not going to do something stupid they WILL do something stupid.

1. Cage's making left turns.
2. Soccer mom's on the phone changing lanes.
3. Getting rear-ended at a red light.

1. cars not paying attention
2. animals / debris in the road (pretty much anything that poses an obstacle to me)
3. other riders
4. myself
5. cops

i don't know why so many people say cops. that is the one thing you have control over. take care of your (license, registration, insurance, etc.) and obey traffic laws and THEY WON'T MESS WITH YOU.

There is three of us that ride together on a regular basis. One particular rider has crashed twice so we always worry about him when we go out. He just has dumb luck i guess lol
