What Are You Most Afraid Of When You Ride The Streets?

How's this for stating the obvious: There are a lot of hazards out on the streets when you're riding a motorcycle. Of these hazards, which one concerns you the most? I've put a poll up listing some of the hazards that we as street riders face each time we throw a leg over a bike and head off for a ride, but there are obviously many more things that can be perceived as a threat. For the purposes of this poll, "the ride" can be a commute to work, a quick jaunt to a friend's house, a group ride in the country, an errand in the city, or a solo trip to some place you've never been before. Vote and/or post, please.

Being run into from behind is my biggest fear. I've been hit twice in the last 30years by idiots not paying attention, fortunately both times I escaped serious injury.
The second greatest fear is being hit head on by someone wandering into my lane or turning left in front of me.

You said "straddle".

Anyway, I concur. I've had this happen too many times to me, sometimes with narrow escape and sometimes not. This should have been a poll question.

I guess I am just different but I really don't have fear out there. I know how stupid people can be and I accept that, I ride accordingly. I would be more concerned that someone I work with would see me if I called in sick to get in a good ride.

i agree with this one but also, coming into a corner and theres something in the road is my BIGGEST fear and being hit from behind by a car would be another.

My biggest fear at the moment is that my wife is going to end up with a Titanium throttle hand, and I am going to be to scared to keep up with her.

I voted on the cagers. I believe I can control my riding style and brake/adjust accordingly. However, it's hard to predict others' actions.

Good Poll.
