ARAI helmets: side pods??

my ARAI is long in tooth , have had it about 4 years now, but is about 5 years old.

anyways both of my pods are broken. have to temp hot glue the shield down.

-the official website for the past 8 months has been down, stating the samn letter of apology. hasnt been updated. prior to that, as far as i can tell, they did not offer support for broken/lost bits.

-went to a few shops, and all of them have said "you have to go thru ARAI" or "ARAI only supports shields, and cheek pads, but not pods, and air vent tops".

-so my question is, are the shops wrong? does ARAI SUCK at not making/getting customers replacement parts? or have the shops been wrong?

i dont care if the pods are color matched or just a simple white, or black. where can i get them?

If the "pods" are still available I can get them for you.

Do you neeed the shield side plates or just the side covers?
Which model Arai do you have?

AAAAAAAAARGHHHH!!

I went in to cycle gear, yamaha, and a suzuki shop!

NOBODY went searching to the catalogs, or even said "we can order it".... all just told me to go to arai website. But with the site down, for 8 months, seemed like that was the only way to get it.

all the shops basically said "we carry the side plates, and visors, but thats it." making it sound like its NOT an order option...nobody even checked, or offered with catalogs. this is a normal CATALOG ITEM, that has set me back 8 months ????????

lol ...it could happen only to me....

www.araiamericas.com works fine for me....so does the japanese site too. their parts site does not have a working shopping cart but it has their phone number and the statement they are more than happy to process your order manually. easiest thing to do is of course go to Motorcycles Unlimited...

I ordered a set from cyclegear, then later I was bored and looked up their website and emailed them what happened to my side pods... and they sent me a set for free... so now I have an extra set in case it breakes again.
