Wow that video was just gut wrenching I sorry for your friends loss of the bike, but hopefully the video helps the police in the case. I never knew that it was that easy to bust the steering lock. At first I thought I was going to see them pick it up and carry it away. I hate thieves with a passion. Best of luck to your friend and the recovery of his bike. And thanks for posting up the video, just goes to show your bike is never safe anywhere.

I simply cant imagine why you'd park your bike outside witout at least a cheap lock...

I got mine disk locked, covered, the cover is locked to the bike, and an alarm.

Actually there are 2 alarms. One is the disk lock itself.

Cover was $40, lock for the cover to the wheel - $12 (could be easily cut thru, but still helps), disk lock $65.

I think those 3 things are the most important you could have. The second alarm is just added.

What are you talking about? There was a camera pointed at it.
Sorry for the joke. I think the pain is made worse by the vid. My first was taken from me as well.

It was... :(

Also, to be quite frank, I knew it was a matter of time before that bike was stolen. I honestly don't know why he didn't invest in some kind of security system on the bike. A 2 way alarm, a better lock, something.

Bait bike? We wont be using those in the next coming week

The fhag, I mean waste of space pirate in that video doesnt look like anyone apart of the suspected theft groups we are watching.

I hope you retrieve it. Keep an eye on ebay and around town. If you have better pictures w distinct characteristics of the bike, please post them up.
