Just because a 600 goes that fast, it doesn't mean your liter bikes go any slower. Now if you never got your 600 that fast, it just means you're probably one of those people that accelerates until you see a new high number, then shoot your load and slow down. You have to hold your throttle for a good 15 to 20 seconds... and you need a good 5 or 6 mile stretch.

my R6 went over 170 numerous times. and more than once the liter bike I was following when he realized I was still all over him. It is very possible
plenty of witness to back. Liter bikes like the one I now ride just get there a lot faster.

This thread is over-flowing w/ bull .

FYI- The true top speed of today's 600s is just over 160. The top speed of the supersport 600's at Daytona this year barely broke 170. The true top speed of today's liter-bikes is around 180-184. AMA Superbikes just now are breaking 190 and getting into the upper 190s. Last time I checked, no one here is riding an AMA Supersport 600 or an AMA Superbike.

You think? :laughing6

I remember running into a guy riding a Busa that told me that he had done over 250 mph because he had a Vance & Hines turbo on his "custom" Busa. (V&H doesn't make turbos) Everyone forever brags about the time that they went ____ (fill in the blank with bullsh*t) with their bike.

DH, don't talk too loudly, you'll mess up some of these guys' wet dreams.

On my 05 Busa, when I looked down on the gage it read 170 on 2004. On the new 06 Busa, only 160. Haven't had the ability to run it-up in a safe manner.

130 in some long sweepers in East Texas on the SV. Riding a naked at triple digit speeds takes stupidity.
