Exclamation Watch out and Be careful!!!!

Just letting you guys know to be very careful and pay attention to your surroundings... My friends bike was stolen (NOT FROM HIS HOUSE) but from wal mart around 2:00pm Saturday in the broad daylight!!!! It was the wal mart in HUmble down the street from Deerbrook mall. He say he parked the bike, went in to grab a few items and come out the bike is GONE!!! Not much details besides it was a light colored pickup that was seen on the cameras with no license plate. The bike was a 07 gsxr 1000 black in color nothing that sets it apart from other bikes, looks just like the other gsxr's running around.. These thieves are watching so be careful...

I think he pulled into a car spot but not sure... I always see bikes parked on the sidewalk or in the little yellow part when I go and thats where I would have parked mine.. But regardless those were some bold thieves to do that In a wal mart parking lot at 2pm

yeah, that is where I always parked as well. I will either park on the sidewalk in the middle of the building, or on the yellow crossed lines.

Yeah I can get a ticket, but it makes me feel a little safer and its worth it to me.

Either way.... it still sucks his bike got taken.

thats why when i get a new/er bike I would include the lo-jack and anti-theft GPS system factored into the cost.

luckily right now my bike is in the "why would I steal that??"category, unless they are THAT hard up for a joyride, and not for hot-list parts/money. I think there are what..? 5 of us in the U.S. that still ride a SECA II.

I really dont understand why people getting new bikes these days arent doing thier best to include anti-theft features during the purchase. if you cant afford it, then save up a few more paychecks. worth the hassle to save your pride and joy/ hard earned cash turned motorcycle.

I always park up on the sidewalk. Legal or not.

BTW, anyone know if it is legal or not?

I always see bikes up there and I've NEVER seen or heard of anyone getting towed or ticketed?

I don't know the order of the most stolen bikes but the Ninja's, Hayabusas, and GSXR's have to be some of the top ones. If I were to buy any of those bikes it would definitely have Lo Jack on it. I would love to see the look on these punks faces when the popo roll up to their door with the shiny bracelets. "How they catch us so quick". "Lo Jack you ."

In Houston some stores have a "red fire lane" stripe painted along the sidewalk in front of the store. If you park between that line and the store you can be ticketed. I've been warned before.

I haven't, but at almost every wal-mart theres that little hallway by the entrance where they have the lame-o candy machines and donald duck drag-knee springy ride and at the end of the hallway theres a regular door out/in and always space on the side of it by the wall outside. The kart return jockey runs has to get his karts in the dock close to there. I park right by the door, nobody really walks in or out that door and it would be hard to get the bike away from the wall and loaded into a truck there, especially with the no parking fire zone and all the main drive traffic going by.

anyway.. bummer to hear about your bike man... TACTICAL PARKING FTW!
