Smile *Solo Forrest ride 11/16

I wasn't sure if I would head out this morning but decided to anywayz. I haven't had a day off in a week+ and wanted to ride. The morning weather was overcast, GAU-8 said he wouldn't make it due to rain on his side of town. The wet stuff had already passed me up, so I went for it. It was dark, cloudy and overcast, I was wondering if I would get wet. It was a little chilly but not to bad, the most annoying thing was that it was pretty windy, I got blown around a bit.

The only popo I saw the whole trip from the Woodland to Yankees and back was just outside Carlos, a burgundy f-150 constable.

Hazards,, two big dogs just chill'n in the middle of the road on 149 close to the Lone star trail head. A calf wondering around in the road between Richards and Anderson and a little gravel on a few corners of 3090. Plus dirt in the road in a few spots.

When heading north just as I came out of the forest the sky cleared up and the sun came out.

I only saw one bike out there coming back south down 149, looked like a green kawi 2up.

Overall it was an enjoyable ride and I learned the roads and my bike a little better. O' was gonna eat a nice hot bowl of chili at Yankee's but their card machine was down....note to self, carry cash on rides, blah.

Here are a couple of cell phone picks from this morning.

Hey it's adrienne's corner! JK A....

Always an enjoyable ride. Did you bring cash for Yankees? They reverted to the dark ages.

And second pic is where many harleys are dropped..

I think we covered all the locations

I find when I ride those roads by myself I slow down and enjoy the scenery.

Solo rides on 3090 is awesome. There are a ton of things you never notice while in a group. There is an old stone bridge, a historical marker for a old Spa from back in the day, and much wildlife.

Some great looking pics from your phone. I really like the third pic of that infamous turn. The bridge that follows is the one with the bump that catches everyone off guard. (I hate that bump )

I have that on video with one person going straight off, two cutting too short, three almost hitting a truck... all original forest gnomes so big names on the board and track scene now lol

It's so beautiful out there; I'd love to do a slow solo ride.

How and why did you mount that on your helmet?

Because, I live north of 1960 and I is proud of it. Plus it acts as a rudder of sorts and helps me in the corners.
