It was a blast! Not much more exciting stuff than riding those roads, with a good group of capable riders, in close proximity.

looks like you had fun. I was cleaning wing after last weekend and I notice one of my fog lights was shattered by a rock. Tell me when you are going again and I'll hook up with ya'll.

I had never been. Having gone now...I want to go again. Soon! We were talking about watching the weather forecast in Decemeber. And when we see a warm spell (you know there will be one) just take off that weekend. I'll shoot you a PM when/if.

^^ nah...I wasnt doin 180. Probably some 2 up riding..about 1k miles worth prior to heading up there, coupled with new pavement. The kind where the gravel is laid on top of tar or whatever.

I ran 35/35 in my BT016's. The wear is different then that of Sloblacks.

i wasnt talking about his speed---- i didnt look far enough to know his speed, i was referring to patrick saying it was due to tire pressure. that was all.

Extended high speed running on ANY tire with low pressure will do that.
^^ that part

but i guess it doesnt apply since u ran 35/35. I was just curious for educational purposes. I know the 016's vs 003 is diff and so is the recommended psi- thats why i say it was his post only i speak of

My tire showed significant wear after Saturdays ride. Actually looks like I'll be buying a new set soon. The pavement was like sand paper!

I have left on a fast paced hill country ride with half tread on my tires and barely made it home with strings showing many a time.

Back when we would hit up the hill country almost every weekend, I was going through at least one rear tire a month, was ridiculous.

That's crazy wear on that tire. That road must have really been sand paper.

I wish I would have taken a pic of the surface. Its crazy! Really rough, if you kick it with your foot gravel goes flying, but it has amazing traction!!!
