Stopped by there today and they started it and let us hear it wind up. Amazing how fast this thing revs. The guy from BMW said there are currently only four in the us. BMW pays him to trailer this thing around behind an X5 and do track days and events. Talk about a dream job. It's only $500 more than a new Gixxer. Wonder how it would do head to head?

I went by there saturday and had a talk with the BMW rep. There's definetaly some cool technology being brought to the market as standard and optional equipment. Adjustable swing arm?si We talked about the different traction control setting as well as the power switch thingy. Ohlins is supposed to be supplying them with a full race suspension setup that will be made with the real stuff not the same kind of upgrades the Ducati "s" models are equipped with from the factory. I have a video on my phone but the format isn't recognized on my laptop until I download a converter(44megs and on a wireless card it takes too long)

It seemed pretty comfy, typical fruity BMW switches, sweet dash, and lot's of nice standard equipment on the base model. Look wise I think it looks like a beaten step child (headlights) but I liked it.

It's cool but it doesn't look like a beemer. Looks like a run of the mill Japanese bike. Not that Japanese bikes aren't nice bikes they just don't pay as much attention to detail as Euro manufacturers. Function over form I guess. It is barebones. It has brembo calipers but everything else is Nissin. Brakes lines are rubber. Wheels are just plain old wheels.

It wasn't an explanation. Maybe post up a thread and ask about them.
You will get all kinds of responses.

Why do people bash Eximport for their high price? If you bought there and unhappy about your purchase then it's your fault.
