ok, I say year round, you say 3 months, I really dunno the answer

But, just telling whoever it was that asked that testing in the offseason isn't abnormal, they all do it, every offseason

Provisional 2010 calendar announced

The Provisional 2010 MotoGP calendar has been announced by the FIM (Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme).

The provisional Grand Prix schedule for 2010 includes the addition of the Hungary event at Balatonring, plus the confirmation of the British race moving from Donington Park to Silverstone. The season will begin in April when the first event will be a night race at Losail in Qatar.

after Valencia there is only three official testing sessions (usually two day affairs) which is why it was such a good move getting Ben on the bike over the weekend
