You mention only the labor day with that amount of sessions. If I am not mistaken Ride Smart will have around 30 events this year. If you are going to make the accusation then be accurate. Don't manipulate the information to make the numbers appear the way you choose to make them look.
I ran 6 or 7 -15 minute sessions. My numbers are pretty accurate, I thought I spelled it out pretty well.

It's not the climate, it's not the track, it's the mindframe of the participants. The 2 orgs definitely attract 2 different types of riders.

STILL managed 7 20 minute sessions in 7 hours...like clockwork. CRAZY!

Idea: why don't you all get together and have this discussion in person? otherwise this is just petty.

So one is 5.5 sessions and the other is 6 or 7, but you were able to produce an average number that mathematically I cannot reproduce. Hmmmmmmmm

5.5 sessions @ TWS (Texas World Speedway)

6 or 7 15 minute sessions @ ECR.

This thread is about happenings from the BOD meeting. But while we are on the subject...

Track goes hot at 8am at TWS (Texas World Speedway). Last session is 4-5pm with 12-1 off for lunch and parade laps.

Total sessions 8 as long as the wrecks arent outrageous. And I think that is the same for the other orgs.

I need to scroll back and see where this thread got off track of the BOD mtg and on the track of track day org comparisons.
brandt im not going to lie. I have rode with both organizations and are great but totally different. I have never had more than 6 sessions with ridesmart. Most the time its an average of 5 especially at TWS (Texas World Speedway). And track goes hot normally at 9 from all the event I have been too..

dbuck not having ever ridden a LSTD but having worked and ridden Ride Smart ones i would say from talk to other people that there is a difference in the people that show up to these. Ride Smart L1 has alot of people that have just started riding to people who have been riding for years and just starting track riding. As for MSRH - I worked Corner 10 and can say there was ALOT of people that ran off the track causing a yellow or red flag depending. Also there was numerous times when people your blow the checkered flag causing delays for the next groups to start. There was a situation when one guy on a red R6 ran 2 1/2 laps after the checkered flag was thrown up. IMO Ride smart take a huge initiative to make the track as safe as possible for everyone causing flags to be thrown when they can....I am not saying this is a bad thing but we had a First time Track Marshal at MSRH too.

The first time i ride a Ride Smart track day we got 7 rounds in the 2nd time it ended early due to weather. I think all in all it all comes down to whos riding and whos running the track.

Wow, this threads has turned into handbags at 10 paces. I am certain there are cliques, sects, and politics that play into this (of which I am blissfully unaware)..........unfortunately this just hurts the club.

At the end of the day, if there are more opportunities for people to take the licensing course, more people will get their license.

I am a good case in point. I have been running trackdays all year and getting progressively faster. I wanted to get my license in October with LSTD, but something came up, so I did TWS (Texas World Speedway) a week earlier with Ride Smart. Had Ride Smart been able to to offer a licensing class, I would be a prov nov as I sit here (while watching the grand prix de catalunya again)

I just want to get my license, grab my gentleman vegetables, and have a go at racing. The easier it is to do that, the more people will indeed do it.

I like several options, there at this time is 2 Ride Smart and LSTD. I am sure one day I will be out at Ride Smart and give it a try, who knows maybe I will like it , but so far my consensus is that LSTD is the place to get the most seat time and from what I have seen a top notch operation, from top to bottom and I have had enjoyed each trackday. I will try a Ride Smart trackday and see what happens till then see yall on the streets

J
IMO if your not a racer and/ or you dont have all the time in the world and money Pick 1 or 2 tracks you like alot and ride when whenever a track day is up. if its Ride Smart or LSTD and they dont overlap just ride it. I am partial to TWS (Texas World Speedway) b/c i live 6miles from it and know the track well. MSRH would be my 2nd track but never riding it and only working the corners on it i use it as my payment for most TWS (Texas World Speedway), Ride Smart ones.

Now that i am addicted to trackdays and really wanna get into racing I am keeping a close eye on LSTD and Ride Smart track days so that i can do TWS (Texas World Speedway) whenever open.

Just my oppion.....Sorry for contributing to the offtopic of this post.
