Those who are interested should notice that the matching pants are also on sale, for $99.

BTW I like that the jacket has 8" zipper for attaching to "Panic".

I'm sorry but reflective piping does not bring out the color of my eyes

I'd rock it like a boat lol

I actually have a yellow flourescent vest I wear in the morning when I commute to work when it is still dark outside. Everyone may think I look like a dork with it on but I don't give a . All my gear is pretty much black. I am only really concerned about it when it is dark out.

I think some people think I am a cop when I wear that because they get out of my way. Added benefit of that vest is pockets for my toll tag and office garage tag. I always hated fumbling around to get my parking garage pass out.

Yeah I don't think I would wear that jacket at night without something over it either (not in the sticks where I live for sure).

But during the day I think it would be fine. I thought it was too good of a deal to pass on so I bought one, and the pants too.

to the OP for posting the thread.

Does anyone have any idea what quality Yoshimura gear is? I also have many jackets for different uses, but had not stopped to consider whether any of them are reflective. Racer X, how warm is cordura for winter vs leather?

prolly about the same, most "winter" jackets have liners that are removable.

and reflective material is 1 of MY buying criteria, as i often ride at dawn or dusk.

Lots of people wear 2 piece leathers for trackdays. They have the flexibility of being used for street riding without looking like "Ricky Racer" as well.
I'm sure Yosh wouldn't have put their name on them if they weren't at least decent quality.
As far as whether they will save your hide in a crash...

Well, that depends on the crash of course but in any case they would be better than nothing. It's always better to grind up some dead cow before you get to your own skin.
If I didn't already have 3 leather and 2 textile jackets, plus two 1 piece leather suits I would get them.

Yeah I guess so... Well kind of/sort of, I think.

I will have a total of 4 jackets. One neon yellow textile jacket (excellent for night riding, but don't want to be seen in it any other time of day ) more of a winter jacket not vented very well for summer, a nice Honda Rocket textile jacket (vented enough to be doable for summer), and one other Joe Rocket mesh jacket I want to get rid of (no good for cold temps), and now the Yosh leather on its way...

I also got the Yosh leather pants, and have some good vented textile over pants (all weather w/ liner) on their way to Motorcycles Unlimited for me as well. Plus two pair of riding boots, an old pair of Harley boots (go to upper shin), and the awesome Sidi boots I just bought from Motorcycles Unlimited.

I think I have all the jackets and pants & boots I could want now. Now I just need an extra helmet, to go with the extra set of gloves I have.

I was hoping it would be comparable. (Kind of why I justified buying it) It is 1.3mm thick, I figured add a back protector to it and call it a day, for now. I see most track 1 piece suits are 1.2-1.4mm. Are they >2x stitched, or better leather, or pads/armor then the two piece Yosh in this thread? I realize this is a street 2 piece, and that is what it is meant for but thought it would offer comparable protection (minus the back) of a track suit.
