Question about paint job

As soon as I get my bike fixed I want to get it painted.

I just want to know a general price range of how much it would cost for one color all over on a bike.

Thanks.

Gotta be more specific unfortunately.

Do you want a factory color? Do you want any special colors (like pearls)? Do you want a showroom finish (which is a loaded question because NOBODY likes a paint job they don't pay for)?

You can get a $400 paint job and it's going to look like a $400 paint job, not a $1000 paint job, which is what everyone wants for their $400.

$400, on pristine bodywork meaning: no bodywork/ repairs done to your existing bodywork or any paint removal (especially spray paint removal!) is a good ballpark to start off.

I would say about $600 average, if all the parts are removed by you. That is standard, good quality (mid range Dupont, PPG, or SW) paint with no stripes or effects. Maybe around $500 if you go straight black. Prep work is paramount. Bad prep=bad finish.

It would be best if you changed your avatar to something a little less provacative...otherwise you will be constantly leg humped and possibly cause some animosity from some of MH's lady riders.

From what I have seen of the ladies that ride from this site, you may want their knowledge and experience.

So its up to you, but you may possibly want to put a leather jacket on or even some shorts...on your avatar.

Look you even have me doing it now.....

For a good quality single color. Usually Around 600. And then add a couple Hundred to each section of the bike that you wanted airbrushed. That's a good measurement
