It's funny, I thought the memories of being on the track would fade quickly once I sold the bike. Boy was I ever wrong. The itch grows as the days go by. It's a helluva drug...

Badass write up. I haven't experienced a roadrace yet, however that reminded me of my moto-x days... we all grid up side by side, sometimes 30+ deep, all going for the same corner!

Inspiring and exciting read, thanks for posting

lol...true that!

Sunday, 5:30am...I can't sleep anymore. I've tossed and turned all night. It's to early to wake up, calm down, relax and breathe. Practice starts at 7:15, you have plenty of time. My heart rate is picking up, I can feel the pulse in my neck. **** it! I'm up...get dressed, check tire pressure, lets put some heat in the tires. 1st call for practice....

Pretty much what happens every race weekend...nothing quite compares to to the feeling you get on race day. It's the night before a trackday multiplied by 1000!

Has the race season started yet?!?! Lol!

Nice write up, Tom!!!

great write up indeed tom. nothing beats the feeling of racing. after many race weekends under my belt, i still have the nerves racking the whole day.

even in some races where i know i would leave the field by 10+ seconds, the nerves don't stop til you cross the finish line under the checkered flag.

no matter the bad stuff people say about racing....it's worth a shot to see if it's for you or not.
