250cc bike ride 11/08/09 - Livingston

Meet at 9:30 AM at HAK, riders meeting, KSU at 10:00 AM

We'll ride some nice back roads up through the Livingston area with lunch at The Hop in Coldspring. After lunch we will continue riding and hit 59 again in Cleveland.

Required Gear: Helmet, Jacket, Gloves. Strongly recommend boots, knee guards and protective riding pants or more.

Also Required: 250 cc motorcycle All others will be confiscated and owners will be forced to walk home.

The ride will be a slower paced (speed limit), noob friendly ride in a MSF/Roadking design with a dedicated Leader/Sweeper leading a manageable group through these roads.

Just as the forest ride has 3090 to watch out for, the Livingston ride has 224 to look out for. 224 has some tight turns, some blind turns, and elevation changes. Be cautious, ride your own ride, and have fun!

No rider will be left behind, unless you run out of gas on a Ninja 250...I mean you have twice the range I do. I keed. I keed.

We will wait at each turn for all riders before we continue on.

The ride will officially end at 59 in Cleveland. I will stop at the truck stop to make sure everybody is ok to get home from there.

There is a 40% chance of rain on Sunday. If raining, the ride will likely be canceled. I will update the thread if canceled.

Again, you must be this small to ride: 250 cc

Seriously, must be on a 250cc?? I kinda want to be on a well organized, casual ride for once.

Isn't that racism against other bikes if it's only 250cc?

Its 250s only because I wanted to do something a little different. I like the little bikes and wouldn't mind owning one. Its slower paced because I have fun on the bike no matter what and I figure often times newer riders are on 250s. They're an excellent learning tool and loads of fun.
