Icon contra or Dainese Laguna Seca?

Im debating between these two. They are pretty close to each other in price kinda. Anybody have any experience with either jackets?

There's a 120 difference. Anyway, I would get the Dainese.

Its just his skin and skeleton he is trying to protect.
Its not like icon is typically , has really poor stitching and abysmal longevity...oh, wait...

Dude if you can swing the price get the Dainese. So far every time I buy icon I kick myself later.

Heard Icons lids are coming along, measuring up to some pretty high standards...that being said, I don't own any Icon gear whatsoever. (I know we are talking about jackets, just a general statement about Icon).

I would error on the side of safety, which after all is what you are looking for. Spend the extra money IMHO on the Dainese.

yea go with dainese. I agree with the icon comments, plus you wouldn't want to get stuck with a gixxer jacket if you don't have one. Plus everyone will think you're a squid or somethin wearing it haha jk

I own 2 Dainese jackets, including the Leguna Seca. I would say it's a good street jacket, but the leather is not as thick as on my other, but older Dainese. It's kinda light in comparison to the other, as well. With that said, it flows air very, very well, which is great for Houston's heat, especially for a leather jacket.

It does not have provisions for a Liner, nor does it have a zipper for pants. So it is strictly a street jacket. It also fits a bit loose, which makes it even moreso a street jacket only. It also does not come with a back protector, but it does have a pocket for one, which must be bought seperately. All in all, it's a great jacket.

I'm happy with it for the above reasons, but I feel more "protected" wearing my other Dainese, which has better elbow/forearm armour, liner, and zipper. It also fits better to the shape of my body (athletic). I think the shoulder armour is better, too. Wish I knew the model name, but I have no idea which one it is. It's definitely higher end, though, and the difference is noticeable.

As far as the Icon textile for comparison. There is no comparison, simply because it's textile, and not leather... like the Laguna Seca.
