Non-US License

My co-worker has an Italian motorcycle license. If he rides here does he have to obtain a US license or will his Italian license suffice?

He just bought his own bike recently and hes wondering if he needs to take the license course or not.

If he's visiting, he's fine. If he moved here for work or is going to be here for an extended period he needs to get a state DL after 30 days in the state or he can be fined and license revoked.

I say that, yet I didnt' get my tx DL until a year after I moved here and got pulled over numerous time, no issue...however my old beast had canadian plates on it.

Maybe a visit to the DMV website or a phone call would be in order.

Incorrect. The 30-day requirement to obtain a Texas driver's lecense only applies to licences from other US states.

Italy is one of the countries that offers recoprocity honoring driver's licenses so the State of Texas will recognize an Italian driver's license for up to one year:

so does recoprocity work the other way around, as in those countries will honor a valid texas license?
