GSXR1000 Selctive Ride Control

Does anyone have any ideas why the Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (DMS-S) system would not be indicating on a 2007 GSXR-1000? What is the procedure you are going through to change the mode on your bike?

Thanks in advance.

something like hold the up/down button for 20 seconds. and it should change. on a busa it resets after ever time you turn the bike off.

I figured I would reply back to update. Upon reading through the Service Manual, it turns out that if FI codes are stored, the DMS-S does not toggle/display. This bike has had FI lit since I began repairs.

So I went on the search for the 5d code and could not find the error. Lo and behold, even though the display indicates 5d, it is actually to mean SD as in steering dampner (this occured to me at like 330AM while I was sleeping). I had purposely left the steering dampner disconnected because I knew all of the plastics had to come off again to replace the damaged L clip on (connector is accessed above the radiator under the steering neck).

Replaced the clip on, re-installed all of the plastics and re-connected all electrical. FI light no longer on, and the DMS-S system works flawlessly.

And yes, the DMS-S started on the '07 GSXR1000 which is nearly a duplicate to what has been on the Hayabusa for several years.

Thanks to all of the great replies.

If its like an 08 Busa it starts in "A" mode but it does not indicate any mode.

Only once you change the mode does it indicate which mode it is in, A.B,orC
