A VERY good article on handgun bullets.
I personally dont care for the Glocks. As good as they are they are a bit bulky for me. I have a CZ75BD for my general practice and home defense, a good pistol with excellent ergos. For CCW I just purchased what has to be one of the nicest compacts Ive ever had. The Kahr PM9 empty weighs less than a pound and holds 6+1 9mm rounds. I did a lot of research on this weapon and found only glowing praise for it and all its brethren. 9mm too small you say? Remember the military is required to us FMJ bullets by the Geneva convention. So of course thats worthless to them and they voice it, And as most self defense situiations happen at very close quarters aiming is sometimes not possible. So a bullet with good power that will not however possibly over penitrate is something that you should also consider in your purchase. (Also some sellers will use this as a "scare" tactic to get an uniformed buyer to purchase a gun that is too big for them or just overkill).
Still the Glock is a good firarm I just feel they are becoming a bit behind in just how good they COULD be. The Kahr is the Glock of the 22nd century in my opinion.

If CZ made the Rami in 9mm and with a steel frame I would grab one, but since I am familiar with the Glock Platform and been carrying/shooting/modifying it I see how simple it really is. (I REALLY like simple) The Kahr 9mm feels really nice in the hand and just a tad heavier than the G19, if it fires more than 50 rounds after you take it out of the box.

As for the Kimbers, they seem to be plagued with reliability problems and for the money/time involved in return shipping you could be practicing with something that works. Check out http://www.1911forum.com for some interesting reading. The 1911 is carried a bit as well but not as often as the Glock's. (Dan Wesson Custom 5" Patriot)

Not me, parking sucks and no money for more toys...

The HGCA shows at the Reliant Arena are better but they don't sell loaded ammo.

Hate the Beretta's, bad "long" triggers, goofy grip, and feel cheesy. Accuracy is generally OK but that's all, older versions have been reported to have cracked slides after LOTS of rounds through it...

If you want a DA/SA semi, CZ75/97 or SigSauer.

Hk are a good gun but it really depends on how u like the feel of the gun and the weight of it. you really dont want to get a gun that your not going to like on how it handles. if u want to get the feel of allot of guns. u can go to Top Gun over off of Beverlly Hills they are a indoor shooting range and u ran test out guns there while shooting for about $15. whole bunch of us go there about 2 a week. u can even meet us there if u want.

i've shot a HK before.. I like how it feels, recoil isn't bad... but how are they on accuracy? I mean I've seen shows where they put the gun under water, sand, mud, all that and it still shoots accurate... how is the gun do you know?
