Had a Kimber UltraCarry 2. Nice gun but has some weight to it. I am looking at the Sigs for my next semiauto.

Got a glock 19C I carry. Some people don't like the porting but it doesn't bother me. People say that if you were in a gunfight that you will shoot it and get flash from the barrel in your eyes. Umm yeah ok. I also have a P22 that Patrick mentioned. It is a lot of fun and dirt cheap to shoot the P22.

Used to have a 19C. That thing was awesome. What is there not to like about loud noise with flames and smooth handling. The thing had zero kick. it was like shooting a BB gun or something.

Main reason why I don't recommend porting on the 19 is the gas cutting action of the powder when it hits the slide holes. Plus are hard to clean and allow another slot for dirt/grime/pocket lint. Revolvers have the same metal/powder erosion between the cylinder and frame/barrel gap...

Porting on a 9mm, is it needed? (maybe if your pushing 9mm Major loads) As for the night sites, a flashlight works much better and is more useful at night. You can opt for a set of tru-glo sites which offer a fiber optic glow to help in lowlight situations, as far as I know they are aftermarket only and not OEM installed. Most of my pistols wear plain BLACK fixed sights, I had some white outlined adjustable sites and were replaced with lo mount fixed snag free Novaks.

You don't have to clean Glocks. You can drop it in mud and they still work.
