Haner injury update...

This sucks...

Quote:
MA privateer John Haner was eighth in Superbike on Saturday at Barber, finishing ahead of Ben Bostrom, the Jordan Suzukis, Larry Pegram, Pascal Picotte, and others. In fact, Suzuki's Aaron Yates had his hands full with Haner and his Millennium Technologies Suzuki after Yates crashed and remounted. Aaron only crossed the line a tenth of a second in front of the Texan after a good scrap.

But it's not the first time Haner has been a headache to the factory and factory-supported boys. Not bad for a guy who works in the off-season as a driver for a television court show.

It will, however, be the last time for a while. He crashed in the Superstock race at Barber, injuring his shoulder. John called 'Soup today to tell us he was at Doc Ting's office in the Bay Area, and the prognosis isn't good. He says he'll be out 5 to 12 weeks with a ruptured tendon on the front part of his shoulder and a damaged rotator cuff on the back. Surgery is scheduled for Monday.

Bad news, here's to a speedy recovery. A pro photographer who typically only captures the factory guys rather than privateers got a pic of him at Barber before race 1:
